A Very, Very Good Friday

At least I think that fifteen single paragraphs for my Water Wars scriptwriting project are very, very good. Especially, since it happened on a Friday. Plus, they were all scene paragraphs That means that there were no Establishing Shots. It also means that that’s all I needed to finish Act Five of this movie Scene Outline.

It didn’t look like I was going to get even close to that many. After all, it took mean almost half of my shift to do the first five. I figured if I was lucky, I would get five more done for a total of ten. Even that would have been a good day considering it they were done during the week. But to do ten in the second half, I’m even surprised that I did that many.

Don’t ask me how I did that many on a Friday. That’s because I don’t know the answer to it. I do know one thing, though. It wasn’t because of work. That may have been the reason for the first half. After all, it was very, very busy during that half. Especially, the first couple of hours of that half. The second couple was very busy too. But not as bad as the first two hours.

Work did slow down a little bit during the last four hours of my shift. But I didn’t think that it slowed down that much. In fact, it probably picked up a little bit more when it comes to how often I went out of my guard shack to do that work. The first half I can usually do from within the shack now that I can’t put up the orange cone. But the second half I normally am out of my shack a lot more.

I did do something a little bit different today because of what almost happened again to me on my double shift. It actually happened in the second half of that double shift when I had to write up another Incident Report about it. Every time I had to go outside my guard shack, I didn’t use the same way to get back in there. That’s because I don’t want what almost happened to me early Thursday morning to ever happen again.

Today is a Saturday. And that usually means that it’s not very busy at work. It also means that I should be able to get a lot of writing done. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been true for quite a while on Saturdays. In fact, I can’t even remember the last time I did fifteen to twenty-five single paragraphs on a Saturday. That’s how long it has been. I hope that I can get that many written today. But I may be lucky if I get ten to fifteen done.
