Almost as Good as Saturday

It’s true, I also got seventeen single paragraphs written on the first episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. But two of them were Establishing Shots. And even though they are single paragraphs, they aren’t Scene paragraphs. So, they do count as single paragraphs. But they don’t for the number of scenes that I did.

What does that mean when it comes to this project? it means that I wrote fifteen single scene paragraphs yesterday at work. Plus two Establishing Shots for a total of seventeen single paragraphs. I know that reads a little confusing. It does to me too. And I’m the one writing it. But that’s just how I like to write my Scene Outlines.

Even though there are set patterns for Story Outlines, they can be written any way that you want to write them. After all, no one but you will probably be to seeing them. Unless they are part of a project like this one. And even then, they will only be read by someone on a website like WDC. If anyone does read them.

Scene Outlines are a lot different from Story Outlines. They are a lot more structured with Scene Heading. The paragraphs can be different. Some may even be longer than a single one or they contain dialogue. I’m not like that. But there are a lot of writers who do them like. There is a pattern to my paragraphs. I’m just the only one who knows what that pattern is, until maybe now.

I also number my paragraphs in my Scene Outline. But that’s only to show how I think that the stories should progress. Of course, I know that probably won’t be how they are once they become a movie or series. One other thing about numbering. I only do it for my Scene Outlines. My scripts don’t have any of them.

That’s enough about what I did yesterday on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Now I’m going to start writing about my second project, The Problems with Death. It hasn’t been a good as yesterday. Don’t get me wrong. I have gotten some writing done on this project. just not as much as I was hoping that I would get done.

What is the usual reason why I don’t get too much writing done on my days off from work? That’s right. It because of what my brother and I need to do during those days. Today, we didn’t have too much to do. But we did have some. As a result, I didn’t get to start to do any writing until toward the middle of the afternoon.

I’m not sure about tomorrow. I don’t think that my brother and I have anything that needs to be done. But I have been wrong about that before. So, I could be wrong again. If I’m not, then I should be able to get a lot of writing done on this second project. Then again, if I am wrong, then I may be lucky to get any writing done tomorrow. Either way, I’m going to get as much written as I can tomorrow.
