| Psalms 34:18-19 18. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. 19. Many are the afflictions of the righteous:but the LORD delivereth him out of all of them. Have you ever encountered someone who seems so happy and go lucky on the outside? They give the appearance that everything is fine. But then one day you see them crying, tears rolling down their face. They tell you that their heart is broken, since their loved one has passed away. That they put on an act, so that others will think all is well. They are laughing on the outside, but crying on the inside. Many times people may lose their job, their home, they may lose a spouse to divorce, so many problems arise that cause heart break. We need to be watching and asking others how they are doing. They may need someone to talk with. Just because everything seems fine, doesn't always mean that it is. If we know that a person has suffered a personal crisis we need to let them know that we are there if they need to talk. We don't want to pry, just let them know that someone cares if they ever need to talk. We can also offer to pray with them, regardless we just need to let them know we are there. Many friends and family members suffer from depression, they really need to know that they can depend on us when they need a friend. Sometimes all a person needs is just for someone to sit and listen to them. They may need a shoulder to cry on, or just a hug. Sometimes they need our prayers, and require nothing more. God knows when a heart is breaking, He will give them comfort. Let us always pray for others, when we go to God in prayer. So that they can also remember us in their prayers Suffering From A Broken Heart Lord, I know there are many around us that have broken hearts Loved ones have died, and it has torn their world completely apart Let us be a friend in their time of need Let us show compassion to them indeed Let us show kindness, and be there for them Tell them of Jesus, so they can depend on Him Lord, gives us the words to speak to help them out So that to praises in heaven they can truly shout Let us lend a shoulder if they need to cry Let us give comfort, to help others let us always try Father, we can go to You in prayer, when there is nothing else we can do We can lift them up in prayer, and leave the rest of the work to You |
| Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. There are many things in this life that we hope for. Sometimes we become disappointed because we don’t receive them. We have one sure hope in this life, that is we can trust God. No matter what we may need, God will answer. We have hope in God that things can work out. Sometimes we make requests to God, and when we don’t get an instant response, we wonder if He heard us. We have to learn and be patient, to wait on God. He will answer, but in His time. He is always right on time with every answer. He will not let us down. So let us focus our life on Jesus, and be still and listen to what God is trying to tell us. We have to learn patience, sometimes it is a tough lesson to learn. If we are patient, God will answer our prayers. There is hope in the Lord, when everything else is gone. FOCUS YOUR LIFE ON JESUS Focus your life on Jesus, for our salvation He is the reason He will provide for you, no matter what the time or season In spring with Jesus your garden will flourish And the blessings of the season you will cherish In the summer your fruit crops will multiply And Jesus is the very reason why Keep your focus on Him, your harvest will have a big reward Because you gave your life to Jesus Christ the Lord In the winter you will never hunger Jesus won’t let you stumble With Jesus your cup will run over Let Jesus be your four leaf clover Keep your focus on Jesus at all times No matter what troubles in your life you find |
| If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 I thank God today, that He saw past all my sins and faults, and sees the person He wants me to become. That He sent His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to make it all possible. Without Jesus Christ I would be lost forever, doom to Hell. I would not be forgiven of all the sins that I have committed. I would be in total darkness with no hope at all. I am so thankful that Jesus looks at what is on the inside, not by our outward appearance, like many in society judge us by. That God knows our heart, and loves us for what is on the inside. It amazes me the love that God shows toward us daily, He made a way for our sins to be forgiven by sending His only Son, and then had to let His only Son suffer so greatly. God's love is truly amazing. Just like the love that Jesus has for all sinners, that He laid down His life so that you and I could go free. For that love and freedom that Jesus Christ gave I am so THANKFUL. Father, I am thankful that You look at what is inside my heart You don't judge me by the outside then tear me completely apart Society judges many based on what they wear and how they look You looked inside my heart, and knew I was a sinner that is all it took You sent Jesus to set all sinners free Thank You Father, for truly loving me Thank You Jesus, for loving a sinner that is so unworthy I will hold onto You Jesus, for You stand the test and sturdy You can weather any storm that make show it wrath You always guide and direct my every step to the right path Father, Thank You, for making a way that all sinners could be free Thank You Jesus, for truly and completely loving a sinner like me |
| Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. If one thing is for sure that is the promise of God, that He will never leave us. He is dependable, reliable, and trustworthy. No matter what we may face, God will be at our side all the way. Sometimes we feel like we can not face another obstacle in our life. With God's direction and loving care we can make it through anything. Just remember when we feel that we are about to fall, God in Heaven will be there to catch us. He watches over us and knows every problem we encounter. If we go to Him in prayer and depend on Him we will always come out winners. God will be by our side long after friends and family have given up on us. He doesn't see us as a lost cause. He loves us and wants to draw us close to Him. He wants to hold us in His arms, we just have to be willing to give Him control. If you feel completely alone, go to God in prayer, He cares and loves us so much. Never think that you are completely alone, because God is always right beside you. God knows when you are suffering from a broken heart, He knows that you have lost your job, He knows that your gas and electric bill are due. If you just go to Him in prayer and tell Him your needs He will provide. He knows our needs before they even arise. God will be there when no one else will. He is in our life for the long haul. He will be there in our darkest hour. Because that is a promise He made. When God makes a promise you can depend on Him. Even when others turn their back on you, Jesus will be the best Friend you will ever find. So we are never alone. God loves us, that is why He sent His only Son Jesus Christ. So that we could be drawn closer to Him. Lord I know that I can count on You You see all the things that I go through Through You I will have complete victory Only because Jesus set my soul free I know the problems in my life You can defeat Your love is supreme, it can not be beat I will hold fast and tight to Your hand So one day You can lead me to the Promise land Father, I know that I am never alone You are with me always, till I come home When I cross over Jordan one day You will be there to lead the way Father, guide our every step today Show us what do along the way |
| 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Recently I was watching a special presentation on the news. It was telling of the failing housing market. They reported about 2.4 million families have lost their homes to foreclosure, in the past two years. That number is expected to double in the next few years. Many people are losing their jobs, due to the uncertainties of the economy. Everything being unstable is causing a domino effect. In such times like this, it is great to know one foundation remains strong, Jesus Christ. No matter what we may face, or trials that we go through, Jesus will remain by our side. We must keep the faith that God will carry us through all adversity. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we will win the victory. By keeping God's commandments and believing in Jesus, we can win the victory in any battle. Great faith is the key to getting through any and all situations. Jesus will be with us no matter what obstacles we face in life. God will provide our every need, we must keep the faith and pray believing God will deliver us through all things. Great Faith When we become weighed down with worry and strife Let us go to Jesus in prayer, put Him in charge of our life When it seems like we are lost in the sea of doubt Call out to Jesus, give Him a loud humble shout Through great faith we can win the battle, and declare victory Only because Jesus Christ died because He loved you and me When trials and troubles bring us down Call out to Jesus, He is always around Keeping the faith, will definitely help win the war Jesus overcame the world, He lives forever more In our weakest moments, remember Jesus is strong No matter what we face, we are never really alone No matter what our battle, through Jesus we can win He can do all things, He won the battle over sin Keep the faith and carry on Jesus Christ will keep you strong |
| 2 Peter 1:5-8 5.And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6.And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7.And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8.For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. And he spake this parable unto them, saying, Luke 15: 4-7 4.What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5.And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6.And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7.I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance I looked up these passages and they just spoke to me. As we go through this life, what kind of impression will we leave. Will it be one that others will want to follow the path that we have followed. Will the lasting impression be, that we were a person that was selfish. Are we letting our light shine before men? Are we making others stumble in life, because of the path we have personally chosen? For every action, there is a reaction. Let us live our life following the example set by Jesus Christ. Let us show love and kindness towards others. If we have nothing good to say, then let us keep our mouth closed. If we are going to say or do something, that can make others stumble, let us pray for God to show us what we need to do. Believe it or not, we have many people watching the way that we live our lives. Some follow by our example, that is why we must be careful in what we say and do. By acting in a bad manner, others may think it is all right. We must try and reach the lost, and show the love that Jesus Christ has placed in our hearts. Let us not be guilty of leading others astray. One day we will give an account on all the things that we have done. Let us strive to set a record that would be pleasing to God in Heaven. Let us not be guilty of leading others astray into Satan's trap by our actions. Let us stay close to God, and read our bible daily. Then we can walk closer with Jesus, and try our very best to help others. If we will let our light shine, others will see Jesus in us. We can't pretend, or act false, we have to be genuine in our walk with Jesus Christ. We don't need to say one thing and turn around and do the opposite. We are cheating God, and being a bad witness when we do this. I want a lasting impression to be, that others seen my light shine for Jesus. I don't want it to be about me, I want it all to be about Him. Let us be a diligent worker for God, to tell the world of Jesus Christ, and how they can be saved. Let us rejoice when others accept Jesus and show them by example how to live for Him faithfully. Father, help me to leave a good lasting impression That I followed Jesus Christ, and was under His protection I know that I have done many things that are so wrong LORD, help me to do what is right, help me to be strong Guide me so that I do not lead others astray I want to serve You, and let my light shine everyday Let us strive to do Your will, to Your satisfaction To talk with You before we kick into action To let You lead our path, to our destination To let You search our heart, and give evaluation To clean out all the parts, that can make stumbling blocks for others Cleanse our soul Father, so we don't hurt our sisters and brothers Let our lasting impression, show Your footprints on our soul Father, to tell the lost of Jesus Christ, let that always be our goal Father, lay the foundation within our heart, of love and communication Let us follow Jesus Christ daily, to do Your will with dedication Let our lasting impression be one, that brought others to know Jesus Christ That we be known by the light, that You placed in our life |
| Luke 8:49-56 49. While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. 50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. 51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. 52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. 53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. 54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. 55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. 56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done. These verses were so fitting to the story I heard on K-Love today. They were telling how a man collapsed outside his garage, and they took him to the hospital, and doctors pronounced him dead. The funeral home came and picked him up, and his wife followed. She ask for them to get her husband's necklace off. When the funeral director went to take off the man's necklace, he realized he was still breathing. They called for an ambulance, and the man walked out of the hospital a short time later. He said the funeral director gave him a whole new outlook on life. God shows us in different ways how to appreciate life. Many times we have been given a second chance, and we need to make the most of it. God tries to open our eyes when we are blind, to open our ears to hear what He is trying to tell us. He wants us to open our heart, and love others the way that He has loved us. Many times He does miracles like this to show us, that He is still at work even in this day and time. He shows us that there is hope, no matter what each day may hold. By faith we can make it through anything, especially with God by our side. So just when we think everything seems hopeless, let us remember all that God has done, and continues to do. His power is amazing and He will show us what He can do each and everyday if we just believe and keep the faith. Father, Thank You for showing us all the things that You can do That with You Father, all things are possible, You will see us through That no matter what we may face You will help us to continue the race You will open our eyes and ears You will contain all of our fears You will watch over us when times are tough You will shelter us when the waves are rough Father, Thank You for the miracles in life The greatest being Your Son Jesus Christ Father, Thank You, for opening our hearts Filling them with love right from the start Thank You, for opening our eyes when we are blind That miracles You perform even in this day and time |
| 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. I love this verse, it tells us to be steadfast, unmoveable, in doing God's work. Because what ever job that God may have us to do, it is never in vain. Our labor will bring praise and glory to God's holy name. No matter what pain God has for our life, let us not grow weary in our work for Him. Let always commit to the plans that God has for each of us. Let always submit to the jobs that He needs for us to complete. Our work for the Lord should be our first and most important task at all times. Let us keep close to God in prayer, so that He can use us in the way that He need to.We need to be willing to place things aside that are not important and complete the task at hand that God requires of us. Our labor for the Lord is precious, He needs our help and cooperation in completing the mission that He has for our lives. Let us not grow tired and put God on the back burner. We need to keep Him in first place at all times. That is something that I need to remember daily. Father, I know our work for You is never in vain I know we at times we will feel strife and pain Let us carry on in Your name everyday To follow Your plan for our life all the way Let us always put You in first place To tell the world we have been saved by grace Let follow that path You would have us to take To tell the world that Jesus died for all sinners sake Father, to Your work let us commit To Your plan for our life, let us submit |
| Hebrews 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Have you ever found yourself short on patience? You decide you want to do something, but more important things come up. They require your complete attention. Sometimes we feel this way when we have been patiently waiting for something from God, and enduring something for a long time. We start to wonder if God remembers what we need, and requested in prayer. Regardless of our feelings of being impatient God is working, and we can trust that He will fulfill His promises. They may not be fulfilled in the way we thought, but in a better way. God cannot and will not lie, what He says, He will do. So if you are waiting on God in response to a prayer, be patient and soon His blessings for your patience will roll your way. God's answer is well worth waiting for, He answers our prayers everyday in His way not ours. I Need To Be Patient Dear Lord I know many times I hate to wait Your answers to my prayers are never late I know I get impatient and want an answer fast You always answer my prayers just like in the past I'm sorry Dear Father that I try to rush your answer so much The waiting is worth it all, because the answer has Your special touch The blessings that come my way from you are such great gifts The blessings that I receive always gives my heart a lift Forgive me Father for my lack of being patient so many times In Your time Lord, the blessings have always be mine Forgive me and show me where I am to go Thank you Dear Father for loving me so |
| 2 Corinthians 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. When I think about all that God has done for me, I am truly amazed. He has poured so many blessings upon our family. He opens the windows of heaven, and lets the blessings flow. God has blessed us so greatly, we could never count them all. I could never thank God enough for everything that He has done in my life. Number One being for loving us so much, to send His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins on the cross. Let us take the time everyday, to stop and thank God for all that we have been given. To bring praise and glory to His name, by telling others how greatly we have been blessed. Let us take the time to remember that waking up each morning is a blessing from our Father in heaven. Not to take one minute for granted. To enjoy our family and friends, and to tell the world of the good news of Jesus Christ. Great Blessings Dear Lord, you have done so much for me I haven't done much for you as I can see You have blessed me so greatly, and asked so little in return No matter what I have needed, large or small, you have always made it your concern When it seemed that things were going so wrong Lord, you stood beside me and made me strong When I needed food, shelter, or love It was always provided from my Heavenly Father above Dear Lord, what can I do for you , let Thy will be done Let me be an obedient servant, and follow the example set by your only Son Let me do Thy will, not mine Let me follow the path you need me to find I know the road may be long, and rough at times to travel I know you will pick me up Lord, if I stumble in the gravel Lead me the way I need to go, show me what to do Let my light shine for you, so someone else can see it too Thank you for every blessing, there are so many, I could never count them all Dear Lord, you know my every need, you always catch me before I fall To you Lord I owe it all |
