I made "Invalid Item" thanks to bugzy is baaaccck!!  Check it out "Invalid Entry" Anyway, had a great trip. The Shenandoah Valley is awesome. I flew to PA on Wednesday night with a few mishaps. (just normal PA airport FUBAR) The plane was late getting to Wilmington so it was late leaving. Anyway, about midnight I landed in Phillie..... We traveled through 6 states from Thursday morning to Sunday night. We left PA airport, spent the night in Delaware then left on Thursday morning and traveled through VA to WV... We stopped at Charlestown to make sure the slot machines were still rolling. They were...... sucking money as hard as they could. On Friday we continued the trip to Asheville and saw some awesome scenery. The visit was nice and we brought home a little cutie. My friend's granddaughter came and stayed a few days and hung out with Papaw while I worked. I hated to see her go home; she was a cool kid........ I know that somewhere in the Universe exists my perfect soulmate -- but looking for her is much more difficult than just staying at home and ordering another pizza. Alf Whit |

Well, I guess my vacation has been canceled. Can't get confirmation of that cause "user is unavailable". Guess the train took another track. How sad that mistrust, lies and stubbornness ruin so many good things. I was so excited about this trip....... Guess you guys are stuck with me. Sorry! |
| Ok, maybe it wasn't the hotflashes. Have you ever been on the railroad tracks and you see the train coming and you know it's coming and you try to move out of the way but your body won't cooperate. You've been on these tracks before with the same engineer driving; maybe a different train but same scene. Each time you stand on the tracks, your image becomes more faded. Each time you rebuild after the train wreck, it seems stronger, more safe. Then you see the damn lights, you hear the whistle; impending doom. You know it's coming so get out of the way!!!! That's kinda how I feel. The train's coming, I've been on these tracks before but I'm suspended in time and can't move and the image has faded so much you can barely see me standing there. I did get a few hours of sun which did me a world of good. I also went to the office and got a few things straight. I have class in Wilmington tomorrow so I won't be in the office. | The hotflashes: Would someone please tell me WHY women have to have hot flashes??? I have been "cold natured" for most of my adult life. I carry a sweater with me almost everywhere because most people prefer temperatures where you can hang meat. I have laughed and turned my head in disgust at women who turn red, fan with anything they can find and complain about hot flashes. I swore to anyone who would listen that I would NOT be like that.......  Well, at work I am NOT. I wouldn't DARE let those girls know when I have a hot flash. I suffer through with no fanning and no complaining. Oh, how I want to tell them I'm sorry for laughing and making fun of them. I want to fan with anything I can find; the report I just finished, the manual for the office, the user instructions for my machinery, the boss, anything!!! When my personal heater starts, it pisses me off and I want to flail everyone in my path. It's so damn unfair!!!!! I refuse to take hormones cause it only happens every now and then. I have the night sweats under control but those occassional, once a week hot flashes are going to cause me to go to jail..... And men, be aware! I can get out of killing you in a court of law for temporary insanity. All I have to do is find a female judge, about mid 40's to 50's, a female attorney and a female DA and your arse is grass and I just smile; no jail time, you wont aggrevate the piss out of me and I'll be done with hotflashes forever someday........  So, have some sympathy for your friends, family, wives, sisters, aunts, girlfriends. Hell, men; you don't want to deal with it, go find you a younger woman....... You younger girls can make fun but please do so in private. I PROMISE YOU... Your day WILL come and MEN, one more thing......just back away quietly and learn to say, "Yes, Dear" without too much sarcasm and we may let you live....... | Ok, guilty as charged. I don't blog everyday cause I have nothing interesting to say. I read your blogs; they're full of good stuff and stuff that makes me laugh. My world is so busy during the day that I just do non-mental things when I get home that require NO thinking. Work is a challenge. New employee has been moved to my office and me out in the cube near her. She left for three weeks on vacation, came back and had a hissy fit. Everything is hunky doree now but gawddd, what a few days I've had. I'm planning a trip to PA. I'm going to try to 'escape' next Wednesday and fly up. Then we're going to take a slow, leisurely, calming, scenic drive from there to Asheville. It's always fun to spend time with so I'm kinda excited. I'm gonna try to work out the details with my fearless leaders at work today. After my neat new sig for being a virtual mom the other day, I then get an email that I've been added to a group. It's "Invalid Item" by A Guest Visitor complete with a conference room and everything! Thanks, raeni You are a doll and I love you mostest.Have a great day, everyone and keep writing! | Well, the day has flown by. I have accomplished quite a bit but do not know where the day went. I DID not clean house or cook. I did NOT do laundry or yard work. I did go to work and get some things caught up in my office. I moved out in the hall to give my office to our water billing clerk. She had a breakdown and took three weeks off work and comes back tomorrow. I needed to have everyone closer together so we can do some cross training so I DO NOT have to bill water and collect taxes if this ever happens again. I did get my nails done yesterday (feet and hands) so they are look'n good. And Nada, the sandals will look great with the new polish. (no comments from Tor or CC, please) Red, red, red..... Cars and nails come in one color...... red, red, red..... On a sadder note, please keep winter in your prayers today and everyday. She is fighting a hard battle and is back in the hospital. I would love to hear some news today as the last update was yesterday. My goes out to her and her family.Oh, and the vacuum thing.......... forget it, the light burned out.
