I guess it depends on where a person likes to eat. I have never been much for restaurants until I me Sharon. It is almost an addiction for her to eat out and leave a tip somewhere. We are talking a nice tip by the way. I agree that I would rather go to an emptier parking lot. This is mostly because I tend to be in a hurry to get somewhere.

Merry Christmas to you, too! Wow, sounds like your family ate like kings this Christmas! That's awesome! I baked too (cookies & pumpkin bread) and we baked a turkey with all the trimmings for our houseful of friends and family. It was wonderful, BUT . . . I also got stuck with the dishes!!!

Oh well, it was wonderful and definitely worth it.

I'm sorry to hear you ended up in the hospital for so long.

Sending healing vibes in hopes you can get back to feeling normal again. Yes, that prednisone is tricky stuff. It helps heal, but the side effects are not fun. Take good care of yourself, and hopefully things will start improving.

Kat,

Having been in the position your friend is in, sometime just very gently tell her that you are concerned for her, and you know she loves her husband, but that you feel she deserves better. Don't tell her what to do, but let her know that if she ever needs you that you will stand by her side and help her. Just hearing that maybe all she needs to hear in order to stand up for her self and make some changes. Maybe get him the help that he really needs. I wish one of my friends had done this BEFORE my husband tried to kill me, and not wait until after. I felt very alone, and just knowing that they would have stood by me would have made things so much easier.

Good for you. I always look at gift registries as "suggestion boxes." What I may buy them, or in some cases make for the maybe better that they would have expected or receive had i stuck with the registry.

I agree, If they want a gif then they shouldn't be so lazy! Send them a email telling them congrats and leave it at that, and at the bottom put a PS with your address.
