My first blog entry! Wow. A few hours ago, I wasn't really sure what I should write about. Everyone makes it seem so easy - just find a topic and type about it. Some people even said that I didn't need a topic to write about. So, as I stared at this intimidatingly huge text box, I was desperately searching for answers of what to write about. I mean, first impressions are important, right? I knew I couldn't mess this up. Then I knew that if people are going to even read my blog, they will probably want to know about the author first. So that's when I decided to write about myself (honestly, this is one of my favorite subjects; I can talk about myself for hours!). For today's blog entry, you'll get to learn a little bit about me. But, before you start, you should probably know that I'm thirteen years old.

What are some things you like to do in your free time?

There are lots of things I like to do. One of the most obvious things is what I'm doing now - writing. I write make-believe stories all the time; most of the time just for fun. I also love to read. Some of my most favorite books are a part of book series: the Harry Potter series, Twilight, the Hunger Games, and Divergent. There are obviously a lot of other books I favorite out there as well, but those are the ones I can name off of the top of my head.

I also like to watch tv. My favorite tv show of all time is Once Upon a Time (although the seventh season is awful). The show I am currently watching is Vampire Diaries. If you're watching it, please comment who your favorite character is. Mine is Damon Salvatore all the way.

What are some of your "Favorite Things"?

Honestly, most of my favorite things change within every day. It mainly depends on what mood I am in. For example, my favorite singer used to be Olivia Rodrigo (do you see the keywords, used to be?). Here are some of my current favorite things, though.

Color: Baby Blue
Animal: Elephants (always has been and always will be)
TV Show: Stranger Things
Movie: ???
Food: Ribs or anything that has sugar as an ingredient
Flowers: Daffodils
Store: Barnes and Noble
Drink: Water
Sport: Basketball (although I cannot play it)
Ice cream Flavor: Mint chocolate-chip

Who are your best friends? Why are these people your best friends?

I don't have any best friends at the moment, besides my mom. This school year is a fresh start for me, and I hope to find a couple of new, better friends for myself!

This is all for today. I hope you like this! Feel free to comment or give a review. Be as honest as you like, I love when people give me feedback!!

Love you guys :)

Today was a funny day. First, this morning my eight year old (I can't believe it. I still remember holding him in the hospital. He turned eight on May 8th. He's grown so fast - too fast!!) brother, Hudson, comes up to me and says:

"Hey, Emma, wanna hear a knock-knock joke?" He said eagerly. He had a toothy-grin on his face, so of course I had to say yes.

"Okay, here it is!" Hudson clapped his hands excitedly like this was something he had always wanted to do. "Knock-knock," he says.

I looked at him and smiled. "Who's there?"

"Emma."

"Emma who?"

"Emma cold out here. Let me in!" He then went around and stomped his feet around the house, trying to imitate me. I laughed at his joke, and his grin afterwards was definitely worth it.

I laughed a lot today. Like, a LOT. Don't know why. Most of the stuff, it wasn't even funny. Has that ever happened to you before?

My word of the day today is cinnamon. Such a fun word. Oh, great. Now I'm laughing again.

Bye guys! Happy Wednesday! Tuesday. Once again, laughing for stupid reasons.

So today, Olivia was showing me a picture of her crush, Daniel, that Rian had sent her (let me also just say that he was shirtless in the picture). Olivia was oozing over him while I was making barf comments. Then, with the picture still on her phone screen, we heard a voice behind us.

"That's a nice picture of me."

We both whipped around and saw Daniel, with one of his evil grins. Olivia's face flamed up like a tomato. I don't know how she'll get out of this one...

BTW, my word of the day is oozing. Did you notice how I included it in the story?

I had a lot of other things go on in my day other than what I am about to tell you about, but I really just needed to get this off my chest because it is important to me. I also posted this on the Newsfeed today.

Hey guys...this is a One Tree Hill spoiler. So if you haven't gotten past Season 3, you might not want to read this.

Have you ever watched the show One Tree Hill? It's a great show (on Hulu if you ever want to watch it), but anyways, that's besides the point. My mom and I were watching an episode of One Tree HIll. And let me tell you. It was the saddest episode ever. Season 3. Episode 16.

The first thing that told me that this episode was going to be different was when at the beginning there was a screen of about a paragraph of words warning parents about the things this episode was going to contain. My mom has already watched the whole show, so she warned me that if it came to be too much for me, she would turn it off.

Basically what happened was Jimmy, a boy at Tree Hill High, brought a gun to school. After some bullies decided to mess up his locker, Jimmy pulled the trigger. You could see the shock on Jimmy's own face after he pulled the trigger - like he didn't even think that he would do it. Jimmy accidentally shot a girl in the leg, Peyton. The whole school went psycho after that, because after all, it is a school shooting.

Jimmy held seven kids hostage in a room after that. One of them called 9-1-1 on her phone, which got him even more upset and made him threaten to shoot them. He made them make a line of tape across the center of the room, and told the hostages that if they crossed the line he would shoot them. One of the boys went across the line, daring Jimmy to shoot him, but another person punched the guy who crossed the line so that he wouldn't have to make the choice.

Jimmy was hurt. He confessed his feelings and how alone he has felt in high school. He said that the best day of his life was the one day whenever no one looked at him or talked to him the whole day. You could see his hurt, and it was utterly depressing.

Towards the end, Keith Scott comes into the building and tries to reason with Jimmy. Jimmy tells him that there is no coming back from this. That this felt like the only way all of the bullying and the hurt he felt would go away. And, at the end, Jimmy committed suicide.

I just want you all to know that if you see someone, even if you don't recognize them, please be nice. A simple smile, a simple compliment might go a long way. Sometimes, you can get so consumed in your own feelings that you don't notice you're ignoring the others around you.

Today has been a nice, relaxing Saturday. My dad took my two brothers and I to Lowe's to get my mom some flowers for Mother's Day tomorrow. We settled for some nice purple flowers, since purple is her favorite color. My dad is currently teaching me how to make sunny side up eggs (don't ask me why I don't know how to make them) so that I can make breakfast in bed for my mom tomorrow. I think she already knows that I plan to make her breakfast in bed, but I'm doing it anyways.

My word of the day today is sweeny. The definition, according to Google, is vet science a wasting of the shoulder muscles of a horse, esp as the result of a nerve injury.

Today was fine, nothing really bad or really good. I started talking to Olivia again (or, more of she started talking to me and I just didn't ignore her this time). It was a nice, easy conversation as we were walking around the gym. I sort of stopped being mad at her and we hung out for the rest of the day. She apologized to me, by saying "I'm sorry for whatever I did," which made me upset once again because she knows exactly why I was mad. So, now we are talking to each other again, but I don't think I truly am over being mad at her. Any advice?

My word of the day is favorite, but the word is spoken in a british accent. Don't ask me why!

Today I was literally going psycho. This morning, I dumped out the water from my water bottle into the trash can, and was getting frustrated when I couldn't find my toothbrush inside our fridge. Two of my teachers asked me if I was okay today. I think that this was all due to the fact that our coffee machine is broken. My mom refuses to take me out to buy me coffee :(

By the way, my word of the day today is psycho. It has a nice ring to it!

I am not going to say much today. I didn't have the best day. I am really mad at Olivia, and I got in trouble for the stupidest reason. I have to scrub the kitchen floors (by hand) tonight. So that means no church :(

Hope your guy's day was better than mine...

I have to warn you, this is going to sound a bit weird, but... today at school they had fruit roll-ups. I was really excited! Then when I opened mine, it was stuck to the wrapper. So what did I do? I ate the fruit roll-up. And the wrapper. I improvised. Is that bad? Can I die from eating that thin wrapper?

By the way, my word of the day is schmooze. If you want the definition, you should look it up.

Today was a pretty great day, though nothing in particular made it more special than any other day. I got a good start to a new story I am writing, in the dystopian genre (which I hope to share with you guys soon), in band I was pretty good at playing the clarinet today (no squeaks or squawks), and I decently curled my hair! From now on I have decided to share my word of the day with you guys, which is awesomesauce right now!

Feel free to share how your day was! I would love to know! I am always there for you guys :)

Hey guys, I'm back! Wanna hear about how my weekend went? Very well, then!

When my parents drove my two brothers and I to my grandparent's house, my grandma wasn't there because she was at work. My grandpa left with my seven year old brother, Hudson, to go get pizza. I was left with my two year old brother, Cameron, and my aunt Samantha, who is a sophomore in high school. Since my parents were gone, Cameron clung onto me. Cameron usually hates me, telling me 'No!' and 'Go away!' if I come anywhere near him, so I was happy whenever he stayed by my side. We played with bubbles outside together for a little while.

Sometime later after eating pizza, Cameron went to bed. Samantha, Grandpa Rob, Hudson, and I all played Candy Land together. Grandpa Rob won both times. I went to bed after that. I slept in my aunt Rilee's room, who was currently away at college. Cameron was dead asleep in his pack-n-play when I crawled into the bed.

In the middle of the night, Cameron had woken up crying. I let him lay with me in bed because he didn't want to be in his pack-n-play anymore. He woke up at 6:30 am so we went downstairs to watch tv, where Hudson later joined us.

For breakfast was Cocoa and Peanut-butter Ball cereal (fyi, NEVER drink the milk after eating this cereal. It is really nasty.). My grandma had come home, so she took Samantha and I to Sam's Club. Along the way Samantha filled me in on her crazy love life, and she commented on everyone she saw on the streets. Samantha convinced her mom to buy us Andy's (which Hudson got upset at me for not sharing mine with him) where I got an Oreo Jackhammer. Not the best, but ice cream is still ice cream. While we were driving back home, we saw a cat walking in the middle section of the highway. We pulled over and put it safely on the other side where no cars could hurt it.

Samantha and I put together the trampoline, which turned out to be surprisingly hard. We rewarded ourselves by being the first ones to jump on it.

Hudson insisted that I played Minecraft with him, so I did. I felt like an idiot when he had to teach me all of the controls and how everything worked. The one thing that confused me though was how Hudson knew how to do everything, speaking he doesn't even have Minecraft and none of his friends do, either.

We went to the park later for a picnic. My grandpa and a bunch of his friends grilled the food, while everyone else laid out the desert and the delicious sides. I mainly hung out with Samantha and Cameron. There was a guy there about a year older than I am, who was pretty cute. We talked for a few minutes, but when he asked me for my number, I sadly had to tell him no, since I don't have a phone. Even if I did, I doubt my parents (my dad, especially) would let me have a random guy's number.

When we went home we had popcorn and went to bed. Cameron slept peacefully, thank goodness.

Once again, Cameron decided to wake up around 6:30. He screamed loudly whenever Paw Patrol wasn't on the tv, which somehow didn't wake anyone up. My grandpa later made pancakes with sausage, which put Cameron in a good mood.

Samantha and I took Cameron out onto the trampoline where he delightfully played ring-around-the-rosy. He was done after he almost went tumbling off the trampoline.

My parents came home around 11:30 today. We filled them in on our weekend. We had to leave after a few minutes when my parents arrived, though, since my grandpa and grandma were going to eat lunch with my great-grandma, who just turned 99 years old yesterday.

While we were driving home, I had been picturing myself relaxing on my bed and reading a nice book. And, of course, my dad just had to say my least favorite sentence in the world, "After you're done eating lunch, Emma, you're going to be mowing the front lawn." I sighed and said okay. I hate mowing the lawn. My dad makes me since he doesn't want me to end up like my mom, who can't mow the yard without leaving half of it with unmowed strips.

If you read all the way to the end of that, congratulations! That was a long one. It was worth it, though, right?
