Difference is not the enemy
We live in the "them against us" society. Everyday we're forced to pick. We're told that if you side with "them" then you are against good, you are a traitor or you don't have the facts. "They", of course, feel the same way.

Just recently a certain celebrity has begun the attack against anyone who is not like him, using whatever influence they might have to state to the world that anyone who doesnt follow his beliefs, in thought and opinion is "irresponsible","uneducated", and "glibe".

Why can't anyone give an inch. We live like caged animals, closed in cars, behind drawn blinds, encased in Mp3's and cell phones,
ready to attack anyone who is different.

In 2005, we are not learning to be tolerate, we are learning to be forceful, unyeilding, and unable to truly love the idea that "difference" is not an enemy. Difference is the ability to be unique, to be unlike anyone else, to just be...
but of course, that's just my opinion.

Is there a difference between right and wrong? If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then couldnt that be the case with anything and everything in life?

Life and death
wrong and right
Up and down

Are not true absolutes, but they are all based on a matter of opinion.

I am blinded by hate
it surrounds me in colors of
red, black and green.

It shocks me in waves of white and yellow.
It touches me, with its pointy fingers and its forked tongue.

Hate is all around me, all I have to do is just open my eyes.

I don't have to much to say today. I am at a lost for any deep and provacative thought.

I know right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder. People draw the lines of what is good and bad to best suit themselves.

Wrong is what the other guys have done.... But that's just my opinion.

I moved to NC by force, My husband received orders for Fort Bragg, with a report date of May 06,2003 I was not happy with the thought of moving to the south.

Many friends had informed me that Ft.Bragg was a place where military wives had little say. Oprah had just done a story about the wave of violent deaths that was taking over Fort Bragg. Soldiers were coming back from overseas tours and killing their wives.

I got to Fort Bragg and found it to be an unsafe place. Its a place where the safety of the spouse, children and animals come last.

Those who report things are seen as trouble makers, those who sit back and let things happen to them are ignored and those who fight for change are targeted.

Fort Bragg is not a place for families....

I am me, I know that statement seems odd, but I have noticed that in this day and age, most people expect you to be anything and everything other that your self.
People have this idea of what you should be like. The color of your skin, the style of your dress labels you, at least that what many think.
The way life leads us, is not based on our race, our size or our sex, its based on our dreams, our drive and our passions.
But that's only my opinion.

I like being different;in a world of copy cats and clones I strive for the freshness of people just being
themselves.

Different means freak, strange, not the same as, all having a negativity attached to it.

I strive for the day when difference means refreshing and is accepted.

I am different, not the different that likes to hurt, but the different that likes to help, the different that smiles at people she doesnt know, the different that helps strangers, the different who still sends 6 page snail mail to friends and family, and who likes to watch the rain.

I like being different.
