Yes, yes, no, no.

A Static item can display up to 50 images. There's only one way to view a Static item = the whole thing in one go.


There are several ways to view a Book item or its entries:

When you view the Book item itself in a TOC view, the header of the Book can display up to 50 images. Entry content is not displayed so it doesn't matter how many other images are in the entries.

When you view the Book item itself in a Blog view, the header of the Book and the 10 or 20 entries that are displayed can collectively display up to 50 images. It doesn't matter how many images are included in the other entries that are not being displayed.

When you view any individual entry (by itself), the entry can display up to 50 images. That's a per each limit for when each entry is displayed by itself. It doesn't matter how many images are included in the header or in the other entries that are not being displayed.


Note that, of course, any page with 50 images on it is going to take longer than normal to load.
