my un-competing poetry
Free verse on seduction - 15 lines
"Invalid Item

sipping scotch, I gleefully undress him across the dance floor,
handsome swagger, such promise in those hips rolling just so!
closer now, his mere presence exudes an aura of serenity
from his square shoulders as he
looks down on my five-foot-ten frame…
sexy, his welcoming smile, surrounded by a three-day shadow
(a sensuous mouth for my willing lips)
seductive dark brooding eyes gaze at me, wantonly now
I notice his casual elegance, designer jeans and sheer silk shirt
nonchalantly unbuttoned revealing fuzzy pectorals
a single rose tattooed on the right biceps --
self-assured, sporting a slight touch of femininity --
at last I melt, hearing that voice, sulky, low and charming
as he says hello, wanna dance? I say yes, caressing
his dark curly locks, kissing him freely…

Pantoum form about "death personified"

rotting bones rattle, his chains promise salvation
blanched wrinkled skin, the features shriveled and lost
frightening the life from children and adults alike
he relishes claiming youth, viciously un-gentle with the elderly

blanched wrinkled skin, the features shriveled and lost
a halo of cobweb-like hair, icy fetid breath
he relishes claiming youth, viciously un-gentle with the elderly
a hideous feast of ghastly masks for decrepit Halloweens

a halo of cobweb-like hair, icy fetid breath
the stench sweetly promises in death what life forgot
a hideous feast of ghastly masks for decrepit Halloweens
the hunger of spoiled riches, jailhouse fame

the stench sweetly promises in death what life forgot
lugubrious blind eyes reveal only life's elapsed potential
the hunger of spoiled riches, jailhouse fame
laughing, his knowing secret: eternity will change nothing

lugubrious blind eyes reveal only life's elapsed potential
cavernous bells tolling black infinity
laughing, his knowing secret: eternity will change nothing
thus is the promise of the devil in death

cavernous bells tolling black infinity
frightening the life from children and adults alike
thus is the promise of the devil in death
rotting bones rattle, his chains promise salvation
