Something's amiss here.
Images of
Skewed bridges, collapsed, awry
Mingle with
Air too dry.
Another fire somewhere.
No amnesty.
Not even a prayer.
Only a moment of silence
For one more lost hero
Who supposedly changed the world.
To abut the fallen concrete
Slabs,
An assertion that
It will get better.
It will get better.
It will get better
If we keep climbing.
Ascension is inevitable.
