This is such a vague thing but I'll try to clarify.
I want all jobs to be accorded dignity, a street-sweeper who does a good job deserves the same applause as a batsman who makes a century (cricket, people; that weird game played by 22 and revered by 20 million).
The woman who opts to be a home-maker is a successful and complete as any career woman and neither deserves flak for their choice.
Respect others for having the courage to speak up and disagree, even if you think they are wrong.
Respect the differences that enrich the world, and understand the one who walks apart.
Mostly though, respect should translate as courtesy. Resolution, not quarrels. Words, not abuse. Understanding, not Hatred.
Too much, yes; but each step forward is that much closer.
