Para/Poem Challenge "Open"

When you say it's a corrupt system,
No one will listen.
Smug in their own innocent insight
They'll claim you're only trying to avoid the consequences
Of your own actions.
As if trees could grow straight in a constant wind
If only they didn't choose to fail.
The twisted group is not indictable
Because the structure isn't going to change.
No more the wind stop blowing.
Our mobility may allow us to thwart it
Unlike the rooted plants
But still...
Still directives from a corrupt system
May send us where we never thought we'd grow.
