A monthly poetry contest about love and heartache. |
Perfect petals Of pleasure Surround you From hip to head, A sea of poppies As red as your delicate lips Your smile Teeth white as ivory keys, Sweet succulent The sounds and notes That the ivory bellows, Your hair Lush as the vines Within this rainforest The scent of life, Like the vast horizon Endless sea of ice Cold yet delicate to touch, Your eyes sparkle Like the stars at midnight Yet dark and mysterious Like the baroness Walking in the night, Your neck as the dunes Of the white sands of this Secluded Mexican beach, Shoulders soft as silk Like the plumage Of a silent dove In the morning, The sweet essence Like rose encircling you With the rings of Saturn, Your abdomen Like that of a painters canvass A little splash of brown As freckles become this scene As art beautiful in every way, Hips that sensual curve Leading the way I am taken back Back to your eyes, lips, soul Your beauty surpasses Anything, everything All that has been All that will ever be, Yet somehow These words do you no justice When I see you The explanation of your very all Escapes me as if I am lost In all that is you, Time will pass You will always Remain the same In my mind, Yet still We have never spoke Only within The Canvas of my Dreams. When the words are inside you let them out be free, only then will you be whole. - S. Rizzotto |
