River of night, opinions please

Hullo everyone,

Here is a link to "River of Night", my first serious attempt at a horror piece.

I am happy with it, but at the same time a little uneasy about it. I rewrote the midsection and ended the piece where I originally intended the middle to be.

What do you guys think?
