WDC has become one of the most important things in my life. Not only have I found a place where sharing your creativity and thoughts is something to be championed, I have found a family. Before joining WDC I wrote sporadically, without focus or any real idea what might be possible. Now I know I have a team of people behind me, all dedicated to the same goal as me: to be writers. Through the support, encouragement and often hard lessons I've learned here, I now know that what I am, first and foremost, is a writer. The endless hours of revisions, the writing and rewriting is all worthwhile when I have such a supportive group behind me, egging me on and celebrating my successes with me. Not to mention comiserating with me when the enevitable rejections come in.
So thank you WDC. I only found you 2 years ago, but I hope to still be here when you turn 20. By then, a best selling novelist. What? It's okay to dream big, you know!
