Judgment Day


Swine flu, sweeping, catching, reaping
Creeping in while we were sleeping
Death of father, mother, child
U.S., thou art standing trial
Watch your metal give to rust
Look away in sheer disgust
To Canada, you Disarrayed
Perhaps they will let you STAY
Town halls-biting, kicking, scratching
Bitter words sans righteous action
Grandma said this day would come
“Pray for peace, my little ones”
Conquest, War, Famine, Death
Steal away my happiness
America’s moral putrefaction
And still you ask, “How did this happen?”
Hitler drank the cyanide
“The One will come, it was not I”
Red, white, and blue the time has come
With sword in hand, H1N1
Pull the plug on apostasy
Violence, terror, mischief, greed
I wept for you, I gave a cry
While all were yelling, “You lie, you lie!”
What will it take, what is the cost
To reclaim what our parents lost?
Injection of a blessed dose
Of love, mercy, salvation, hope
I’ll tell you a scary story
Noise it abroad “Hurry, hurry!”
Days of Wonder, Years of Strife
