Red House, Mississippi Telephone: 1 long and 2 short rings on the party line or tell the operator # 32 I can’t believe it! I wrote this piece that, in my unbiased opinion was a sensitive, insightful and poignant poem about the plight of the bull rider. It is a little Woody Guthrie-ish and is filled with pathos. I even heard the word “masterpiece” bantered about in reference to it. In fact, the exact conversation, as I remember it was, “Mork! Mork, is that you? Would you people get out of the way so I can read this masterpiece?!” He recognized its greatness even before he had his medication. But, somebody anonymously rated it a “3.” I am crushed! I need some validation here, so I’m asking all you sensitive poetry loving people to please read it and give me a true rating. And if you like, you can comment on how wonderful it is. There aren’t many descriptive words left to truly define it, but I’m sure you wonderfully intelligent and sensitive people can find a few. Whinningly yours, Jim, Head Whiner The Whine & Cheese Company, Inc. |
