I just finished reading the first two books of a four book series. I liked the first book (called The Thief) very much- it was in first person, had a reasonable
amount of humor and was fairly interesting. Then I started the second book, The Queen of Attolia. My opinion of the author, Megan Whalen Turner, dropped in this
second volume. It started off well enough until I realized that the author had switched to third person. Personally, I don't think this should be allowed in a series. If
you start off in first person, you should continue in first person for the rest of the series. In any case, I was now unable to connect to the main character as well as
I could have because of the change. In addition, quite a few things that happened in the book I did not like, and once I had finished the ending (which in itself was
not satisfying), I decided to not read the rest of the series. This is just my opinion, and many people (including my brothers) love the books. All are welcome to
