-| The Prompt |- The maps tracing key locations for each contestant eventually led to a tall cliff overlooking a vast red-tinted ocean that turned violet in the depths. Sitting conspicuously near to the edge of the cliff was a stand with a screen that lit up each time it detected that one of the trackers carried by the contestants was within proximity. The same pre-recorded message played for each: Domumen's face, cheerful as ever, gazed out; somehow, his eyes met each contestant's, no matter where they stood. "Hello! Be proud - you're still alive and making good progress! Unless you happen to be dying as you watch this," he said, as if such a thing were only a minor annoyance. "The good news, if that is the case, is that if you can still survive to the finish line, you will receive the best of medical treatment, even if you don't win." He clapped his hand together and smiled broadly once again. "And that brings me to the purpose for this recording! Nearby, you will find a number of submersible vehicles to assist you in crossing this ocean." Sure enough, several small submarines sat nearby, each featuring only a single seat and almost no room for supplies. There was, however, nothing provided to help move any of the little submarines from atop the cliff and down to the ocean. Only an assortment of small, basic tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and low-power laser cutters had been provided. "Bear in mind that this ocean isn't exactly water, but be assured that the casing of your submersibles are built to withstand the liquid for much longer than you should need it. You are also welcome to modify your submersible if you wish, but I must ask that you leave at least a few un-sabotaged, or the offer of medical treatment may have to be rescinded," Domumen said sternly, then smiled once more. "Each one also contains a special compartment that you may collect things in. This ocean is entirely unexplored beneath the surface, and there is much doubt that anything could survive in it. Should you manage to find some interesting lifeform though, bringing in a sample will earn you an extra reward. Even better if you can bring in a complete, living specimen!" He clasped his hands and nodded. "Be sure not to linger too long. Do you really know what your current placement in this race is?" There, the message simply ended. -| Information |- The location provided must be used, but can certainly be expanded upon.
