The Earth Day Challenge

Thanks for all the wonderful reviews I've spied so far (as well as the written entries!)
It warms my heart to see this, considering how upset and miserable I've really been feeling the past few days over something happening in my neighborhood that is related to this. (see my notefeed entry here: "Note: Once upon a time, I lived in a wonderful neighborh..." )
*sigh* It really breaks my heart, and there's this feeling of powerlessness that comes over you when you see the destruction taking place.
My trees are gone. My beautiful wonderful woods no longer exist. And all for just one extra shack of a cheap home and artificial lawns.
