I just wanted to share my morning's visit to the nurse with you, as I know you will all understand.
I'm supposed to have diabetes checkups every six months, but I haven't actually had one for a year. Last time I went, I was doing really badly. My HC1A (is that right?) number had gone up to 69 and my cholesterol was 6.7. So I was dreading this morning's appointment.
But it was all good. My number has gone down to 49 and my cholesterol is 5.5, which still needs to get better. But I'm going in the right direction. Plus, I've lost twenty pounds! I almost danced out of the surgery this morning. The hard work is actually paying off!
