Hmm, I want to help you out, but I tend to stay away from "the chosen one" trope. However, I've read other stories where the reader knows up front the MC is the chosen one but the MC doesn't know. It's not a bad angle, and untimely, it depends on how you write it. Do the supporting characters also know the MC is the chosen one, or does everyone learn it in the end? Does the main antagonist know? I guess the key here is to make the trope different than other stories. Using cliches isn't bad, but you want to put a twist on the cliche you're using.
