You didn't say whether you used the review request form on their Reviews tab. That's the only method of requesting a review that includes escrow service.

If you did, and they don't get the review done before the deadline set by the system, your GPs will be returned to you.

The deadline set by the system is 7 days (to the second) from the time they accept your request, not from the time at which you create the request. They have up to 3 days to accept the request from the time you create it. The details of how the system works are laid out here: Review Requests from Writing.Com 101 

If you didn't use the review request form in their Reviews tab, I'd suggest you switch to using that exclusively.
