I had an old account on WDC years back and became very close with Deanna. We messaged throughout our days, and I often contacted her outside of WDC to see how she was doing. One day I never received a response from her, and the messages sent to her from then on remained unanswered. I realize now how bad her condition actually was. She was truly an amazing person who never let her struggles have control over her life. She was strong, and for that I'll always remember her.
