Duplicate email folders that cannot be deleted

I have several duplicate versions of email folders (half of which are empty), and I cannot delete any of them. I was able to rename some, but then a new one with the original name was generated, which is also now permanent.

Is there any way I can override this website's folder generation, or delete core folders like "INBOX" or something?
