This awesome book is not just for those lunatics like myself who are doing NaNoWriMo and want to add as many words as possible to their daily word count. This book is incredibly useful for anyone who sometimes gets stuck or who generally finds showing characters' emotions a bit of a challenge. And what is this awesome, miraculously marvellous book? It is - The Emotion Thesaurus: A Writer's Guide To Character Expression by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi. Ok, so it won't do your writing for you, but it can help enormously where you need your character to react and you want to show that reaction. It is really easy to use because it is divided into alphabetical sections. The index lists the most common human emotions and their corresponding physical and inner expressions and reactions. The book can help when you are not sure of what the right emotion is for a certain feeling and also when you need help describing that emotion and want to go beyond the telling - she was sad, or he was angry. It is available in both paperback and Kindle editions ISBN-10: 1475004958 ISBN-13: 978-1475004953 Happy writing Encouraging the pursuit of excellence
