At Week's End
Goals for the Week of Dec. 18th and their outcome

Daily Goals

Blog and post.
I'm up to date.

Select and begin another inspirational reading.
“Upstream” selected essays by Mary Oliver has become my new reading.

Keep up with email.
Love the sense of a fresh start whenever I open it.

Eat three healthy meals.
Soups and stir-fry have kept me on track this week, along with a variety of breakfasts I could pull from the freezer, like homemade muffins and waffles.

Drink tea and eat fruit in between.
This one has been a challenge with all the Christmas baking coming our way.

Pilates Class on hold until my injury heals.
Hope to get back to class soon.

Incorporate one household task, with priority on cleaning bathrooms and dusting.
The bathrooms are still outstanding. Hope to get them done today.

This Week

Cook a midweek family lunch.
This was a successful one.

Plan Christmas dinner and brunch.
*Smile* Done. With the recipes collected, ready for when I need them, and a time line drawn up.

Shop for speciality ingredients.
Sam took care of this one.

Cook red cabbage and make waffles before Friday.
Done! However, the waffles are just short of disaster.
Don't yet know if I'll serve them.

Finish writing up Christmas cards and get them to the recipients.
*Smile* Done - with Sam's help on delivery.

Wrap up all Christmas gifts.
The gifts are wrapped, the last cards written.
We are at last ready for the upcoming festivities.

Have my granddaughter over.
*Smile* What a joy! Love watching her 'discoveries'.

Get my granddaughter's hand-prints on a round Christmas ornament
Tried but failed on this one. Maybe next year?

Bake ginger cookies and maple bean tarts before Friday.
The maple bean tarts did get done, but the ginger cookies may not.
Kay dropped off a big box of homemade cookies. *Smile*

Keep up with feeding and baking with my sourdough.
It's fed and I made a wonderful pizza dough. My most successful yet.

Build in an evening or two for relaxation.
This has become an essential. Sam ensures that I relax after dinner.
Yesterday, I actually took a day off, and spent time breathing in greenery.

An unexpected accomplishment -
I did five reviews last evening. *Smile*
