Noticing Newbies

I call myself freedom and nature. In the week or so since I registered on this site, I can say it has been and is a wonderful outlet for my thoughts. The encouragement that I have received from helpful reviewers have convinced me to continue writing.I have not done any serious writing since taking a creative writing class at a community college about 20 years ago. I remembered the instructor telling how that I wrote good stuff but noted I did not work hard enough. I wrote pieces just to get through the class. I will never make that mistake again. I will now write as much as possible as well as provide helpful reviews of other writer's works.
As a young man I was entranced by Stephen King's short stories. It was his vivid imagination and not the horror that attracted me to King's writing. I consider myself to be somewhat imaginative myself. I also love to travel, especially to a destination that features an ocean. Trips to Puerto Rico and Los Angeles have allowed me to enjoy two of America's oceans.
