Noticing Newbies

I am sfttarget and I am new. A soft target typically describes a target that is not protected well, or easy to hit. To me there is no softer target then a person's heart, or at least this holds true for my heart. I had a pretty tough childhood, I make no excuses though. Most folks believe their younger years were hard. I am proud of where I am at, and look forward to each and every day as it arrives. (tomorrow is fishing on beautiful Lake Lanier for striped bass)

I have written a few short stories, a few are horror, some biographical in nature, and a few free verse poems. Feel free to peruse my work, it's like a buffet, like what you like and ignore the rest. I wish more folks took the buffet philosophy and applied it to life as the country would be a lot more tolerant. I digress though, and will step down off my soap box. I hope to get to know you all and perhaps someday something I write will be good enough to publish.
