Amyaurora, all I have read about cliches here on the internet is telling me not to use them. Yet, I do see them used in novels I've enjoyed. I just got done using a cliche in my current project and have been struggling with this unwritten rule not to use it because it fits the character's state of mind so perfectly at that particular moment.
