Where to I put the Sub Type

I've been a member here for several years, yet I am still having a problem finding where to put the sub type when submitting an item. I cannot find it under where I put the contents of my item. I go all the way back to the top and scroll slowly down to the bottom but can never find it. Where is it hiding?
