Delete Item is the last option in the Item Tools menu, which is opened with the gear icon at the upper right corner of the item page, or at the right end of the item's portfolio listing.
This moves the item to the Recycling Bin. To permanently remove it from the Bin, use the Purge option, which is not displayed unless there is something that can be purged.
Confirmations are required for both deleting and purging before a success message is received.
