Word Pictures Contest

Nobody is perfect, unfortunately this also goes for your new judge. I'm not making the best of debuts here, so I would like to implement a new rule going forward.

Rounds will end on Sundays at noon! Don't get too lazy on the weekends or you'll turn into me

Now with that aside, let's take a look at the competition

Everyone came into this one swinging, I counted more than a few home runs. As if burning the midnight oil wasn't hard enough, all eight contestants really made me work tonight!

Without further ado...

Coming into third place: 🌕 HuntersMoon for the rather reflective "🏆 Pantheon" 

Someone tell this guy to overcome his aversion to free verse more often!


Edging into second: Tamer for the very creative "Monastic Stones" 

Who knew that vines and ancient ruins could have so much chemistry?


And the poet who knocked it out of the park this week is.... essvee for the beautiful yet fatalistic "Yield" 

Haunting and picturesque, masterfully done!
