Word Pictures Contest

Hello again, fellow word-artists!

Now that my guests have left I can finally focus on the task at hand. I'm here to bring your attention to some new additions to the contest page.

As of today, second place winners will receive a ticket for any one item review. If you would like a book review, please select one chapter for consideration.

If there is a double prompt, there is double the chance for first place winners! (Provided that the requirements for 2nd and 3rd place are met, of course.)

Now that these tweaks have been addressed, I have an exciting announcement to unveil.

There will now be options to submit poems in various styles! Free verse will always be accepted here, but now you can put your pen to use writing rhymes if you choose. Each week I will select two optional forms of poetry with examples.

The first two are now up on the contest page, take a look :)

There is no requirement to use either, nor will you be forced to use anything other than free verse to win. If anything, it will make it more challenging since rhymes can be tricky!
