The nightmares are the result of previous trauma. Everyone knew of the events, but he told no one about his nightmares. He is the leader of their team and he thinks having nightmares shows he’s weak. They live in a culture where strength is valued. She and he are in love, and he hid this even from her. She wants to help him.
