Thank you so much, northernwrites. I have 124 gb free of the hard drive -- as I haven't had this computer long, but I got it refurbished. I use the CCleaner all the time and have my files dumped when I turn off the computer. I haven't checked the rest, since it's fairly new (used by me) I didn't even think that defragging and the other upkeep I did on a regular basis with my others. And when it does it, I usually don't power down, I just close out the windows and reopen them and they usually come back okay. Thanks for letting me know that it could cause other problems. I'll make sure I do that from now on when needed. I'm also going to go get to know this computer a bit better by digging into the system. I guess I should have already done that. Thanks for your help!
I was just looking through some of the info. and it actually has a link to help with screen flickering, which is caused by the display driver. I know this isn't really screen flickering, but do you think that may help at all?
