On my android, If I can see the person's handle, I simply put my finger on it and hold it until the little menu opens that shows username, add to queue and email.
If I am at their port, I simply look at the web address because it always shows the username.
Also, when you search authors, you can use either username or handle. If you just know part of their handle or part of their username, you can usually find them.
