It doesn't look like there is a way unless something on the tech side can be adjusted so book entries show a creation date for the individual ones. Though having the date of the contest posted at the bottom seems a helpful option even though it isn't a computer generated visual on the item. Might be something you can suggest to the techs for future changes to the site to make it easier.

The option Ruwth had created can help in the mean time from what it looks to accomplish. Maybe someone from Quill needs a similar in&out, however that one was created, in order to verify entries that are in books since they are different than stand alone static items.

I never would have thought about it since for contests I tend to use statics then years down the road move them to books to clear up space. But I have more room than others who don't want to purchase or do enough reviews/activities to get the bigger portfolio sizes. Though if I get active again and keep writing more things I may need the professional port, lol.
