When creating your trinket, you can choose for it to be associated with an item in your portfolio. That means it can only be collected if they go to that item. You do this by putting the item ID# in the line "Limit object collection to Item ID" when creating the trinket. Once created, you will be invited to collect it - then you can post that trinket# the newsfeed (it cannot be collected there but people can see it). Later you can post a link to where the trinket can be found.
