With the other genres I notice that I prefer a more a more neutral, more cerebral approach. I like hearing about the characters or real people thoughts and ideas.
I'm inclined to agree with this. Even with a movie or show full of action I want a fairly cerebral story behind it. If a building is blown up, I want to see an exploration of the aftermath and learning of the significance of that explosion. Hopefully one day I'll get a bit more cerebral backbone in my movies.
