Greets,

Transferring an item takes it from your portfolio and moves it to the portfolio of another member. If you want someone to read something, this is NOT the correct course to take.

Further, Writing.Com does NOT allow the transfer of Folders from one portfolio to another... You would have to transfer the individual items within the folder... if that's actually what you want to do.
