I don't have trouble at all with Titles; Brief Descriptions are a different story (pun intended). Ninety characters sure go by fast. I'd say at least one-third of my BDs are too long to start. But I'm working on that.
On a different note about the Brief Description: My pet peeve is that folks really don't use them as they were intended--a billboard for your item. After the Title, the Brief Description is your best method to entice your reader to read your story or poem. "A contest entry" or "Only 250 words" shouldn't cut it.
