Welcome Trekkers. Have a cup of Klingon Raktajino, and enjoy our friendly Starbase. |
Peter David really is a good Star Trek writer, isn't he? I remember reading his novel Q-in-law on an aeroplane when flying home for hollidays during University. I couldn't stop chuckling! The passenger sitting beside me must have thought I'd somehow smuggled my own alcholol on board, then finally asked me, "good book,is it?" Another good writer is Michael Jan Friedman. I really liked his novel "Crossover" where Scotty 'kidnaps' the USS Yorktown from a starship museum, and as he's trying to rescue Spock and a few of the TNG crew members, and the ship is getting a pummelling, the constant female voice of the computer is saying, "Thank you for visiting the USS Yorktown..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bashir to O'Brien, "What are you eating?" --"I'm not eating, I'm chewing." "Chewing what?" --"Gum, it's traditional. I had the replicator create me some." "You just... chew it?" --"No, they infuse the gum with flavour." "What did you infuse it with?" --"Scotch."
