Hi Free_Rip

Welcome back! You've been missed. *Smile* It is my pleasure to both read and comment on your work "Invalid Item on behalf of "The Earth Day Challenge [ASR].

*FlowerB* First Impression/Thoughts:
Unfair! You live where it's always "'greener, cleaner, better'" ... well, if you don't count earthquakes *Laugh*. I must admit, your voice speaks truth. There has to be time to enjoy - not just pontificate or beat the drum. That said, it's only one day a year. I could tell you everyday that you're getting older - and you'd ignore me. It really only has meaning on your birthday *Laugh*.

*FlowerR* Creativity/Impact:
I love that you took a contrary view on this. I'm not sure it's exactly where the contest creator expected you to go *Laugh* but that's on them. You march to music you hear, my friend. Very original.

*FlowerT* Content:
You write of taking time out to enjoy what we have, beyond just taking blame. For me, the heart of this was "we become so tightly wrapped
In blame and wrongs and rights We forget about the simple things; The joy of days and nights." You've restated "stop and smell the roses" in a wondefully poetic way. From a content perspective, my only hesitation came in "relentless life." It called to mind persuit which, I for one, wouldn't find enjoyable. Still, oveall, a most enjoyable read.

*FlowerY* Technical Notes:
Other than an "eye rhyme" in verse one (earth/hearth) I found this well written with nothing jumping off the page. I liked the double rhyme in the last verse - it added emphasis which I think was very effective.

*RainbowL*Overall Rating/Final Thoughts:*RainbowR*
*Star* *Star* *Star* *Star* and a *Halfstar* I appreciate you clarity of voice and presenting your own view of this day and it's meaning. I think you made your point without dismissing the underlying need for us to care for this world we've inherited. Thank you for a touch of realism and for sharing your talent with me today.

Writing is about communication and this is what I saw in your work and is provided solely for your use. It's offered in a spirit of wanting to give you honest feedback... nothing more.

Keep writing! Wishing you sunshine and blue skies,

Ken
