*Candleb*HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews*Candlev*

Dear: suzyuu:

This poem that deals with solar flares and that affects us on earth seemed almost like prose. In my opinion, prose is comprised of a statement or statements divided up into paragraphs. This piece is set up like any free verse poem, but there are no breaks that would create verses or stanzas, just one paragraph broken up into shorter lines.

I thought that you did well to express what happens when solar flares occur. I remember in the 80's and even the 90's, that solar flares could interrupt communications all over the earth, but it seems that recent advances in technology have managed to be exempt from the sun's hyper activity.

The end of your poem states that, " Man knows little of his planet
and less of the universe..." - - - but I think that many scientists and others know very well the effects of solar flares on this planet, and more is being learned all the time.

You're right that we are just toddlers in what we know about the universe, partially because the universe has no measure. It is infinite. We are still trying to learn more about Mars, let alone the rest of our own galaxy. What is clear is that everything we learn points toward intelligent design, and we humans were not the ones that were the designers. Ergo, something greater than us made us, this planet, our galaxy and the universe. Nothing happened by accident.

You should see the film: "Contact" with Jodie Foster sometime. She states at the end: "The universe is a pretty big place. And if it's just us in all that space, well, that seems like a mighty big waste of space."

If there are other civilizations beyond our own world, I think they'll ignore us until we can fix our own problems here on earth first, don't you? Yes, we have a lot to learn, and a lot of mistakes to correct. But it seems apparent now that the world is coming together, slowly but surely. Nations ruled by tyrants are revolting against those non-elected leaders, and we didn't even have to invade them to make this happen. Social Networks are the main tools behind the mass communication between the oppressed peoples of various nations.

No longer can we wishfully say: 'Change is coming', no, ~ "Change is here! We live in the most interesting time of all human history. *Wink*

Thank you for sharing this neat poem/prose with this community. Your spelling and punctuation were outstanding, your message timely, and the image at the top served well as a great visual aid to your written work below. *Thumbsup*
