** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ![]() ![]() ![]() Dear mjp ink ![]() ![]() It never occurred to me that Easter also is so closely tied to Earth Day, although I should have realized it. Today is Easter, but I've had Earth Day on my mind more this weekend thanks to Kiyasama, and I just happened to stumble on this neat little poem, which I think is a Limerick, or closely related to one. Easter, is of course, about 'renewal', or new birth, and of course, the resurrection of Christ. As it occurs so near Earth Day, which is about recycling an renewing the earth, I can see how the two are related. This whimsical poem relates how a chick, (baby chicken) meets the Easter Bunny one day and makes him laugh. For a reward, the Easter Bunny offers the chick a few chocolate eggs, but the chick instead wishes to give the sweets to children all over the world instead. This is a fine lesson for children to read, and it is perfectly suited for children's reading right before, or the morning of Easter Sunday. This poem is cute and clever, and very well written. ![]() Thank you for sharing your imagination and writing talent with us! ![]()
