Thank you for sharing your thoughts on reviewing for WDC. You brought up a very interesting point: reviewing is rewarding for both the reviewer and the reviewee. I agree. Short reviews are helpful, and certainly better than no review at all. But in-depth reviews offer so much more help and encouragement to the writer. I used to worry that I wasn't writing every day. Then I realized that my reviews strengthen my writing skills just like writing short stories and poems. Great advice, Kerrie Ann!


Overall, your essay is very well written. But I'd like to point something out to you, if I may, in an effort to help you see something. You yourself even said that another pair of eyes helps the writer to see what he or she cannot see.

These are comma splices. They each contain two separate sentences joined only by a comma when a semicolon or a period is needed. It's easy to miss when the independent clauses are so closely related.
