What I liked:

What a fantastic piece! You set the scene right from the beginning, making me jealous that I've never seen it and really painting the picture from the sights to the sounds. You also have a clear focus on your internal thoughts and emotions which really let's the reader get close to the character and experience what she is. I like that.

The climb to the top of the tree is a really intense moment. You keep that suspense going right the way through and had me rooting for you, willing you to make it, to have the courage to jump! I think it's great that you've been able to let the reader get this close and share in a happy childhood experience. Thank you for sharing
