Hello, Immortal. My name is Charlie and I’m happy to be reviewing your work today. Thank you for sharing with us. Remember, the following is just one reader’s opinion. I’m not a professional. If you find something useful, great! If not, feel free to disregard this completely. *Smile*

Subject Matter and Theme
I chose to review this because it is a really emotional poem. I can practically feel the emotions popping out of each line. One of my favorite things about poetry is that the same poem can mean so many different things to different readers. To me, this poem was a romantic one with themes of perseverance and determination. We're all on a journey in life and sometimes you meet someone who is perfect, but the timing isn't right. That is what I took away from this piece. The narrator is basically saying, "I'm not lost, I'm on a journey, and you're still on my mind. But the timing isn't right. Maybe someday."

Flow and Readability
Everything flowed smoothly from beginning to end in this poem. There aren't a lot of technical errors that would make the poem hard to read and it was easy to comprehend from my point of view. There were no parts that stood out to me as feeling 'off' or like they maybe didn't belong. I also felt like we almost got a story out of it. In the beginning, we're just talking about this huge journey that we have to do. There's no other way to go about it, we have to do it the hard way. In the middle, we're reassuring the one who cares about us that we're okay, but we're going through that journey that we talked about in the first stanza. By the end, we have a positive outlook on what is going to happen from here. One day, everything will be okay.

Imagery and Setting
This wasn't the type of poem where we're getting a description of a current event or a nature scene, but there is still some great imagery squeezed in here. One line that I loved in particular was, "Rain sings to me in tune- poetry, melody and love blends and becomes one." That was a good line with good imagery.

My Favorite Part
The second stanza was my favorite. There was such a sweet and reassuring tone to it. "Beloved, don't you worry. This soul is not lost." I can relate to the feeling of having someone you care about worried about you, and the other way around. Sometimes you need to just say that you're experiencing something and, while you're going through a rough patch, it's something that you have to do alone. But, again, there's that comforting tone of, you're still on my mind.

Final Thoughts
In closing, I enjoyed this poem throughout and thought there was a lot to be said of the feelings of the main character toward the person they are speaking of. It's a mature way to look at the situation of relationships. Someday, but we're not going to try to force this, it will happen naturally if it's supposed to.
