I was a little confuse on the setting. I think that it started of with her in her cabin, then she went to church, and then she left church and when back home. Then Craig knocks on her door. The scene at the church was so brief that I thought she still at the church when Craig came to her. I thought she went into the church even though she felt she was unworthy of Jesus' love.

Note:

*Bullet*I'm going to assumed the bolded words were part of the contest.
*Bullet*I don't know the main Character's first name. I read Ms. Blake.
*Bullet*I think its important that she does go into the church even if she felted she was not loved by Jesus.

I think this story has promise. It needs a lot of work, but is a great rough draft. There is always room for improvement, even if you are the best writing in the world. I think the story is too condensed. Its need to be more open. You can expand this story even more. Below are some suggestion on chapter ideas and flashback ideas. Flashbacks can happen throughout the story, in-between the main story, switching back and forth as needed.

Suggested Chapter topics and flashback ideas:

*Bullet* Relationship with Dad (many backstories of the two)
*Bullet* Her feeling about Dad's death
*Bullet* Her thoughts on Craig
*Bullet* How she and Craig met, got to know each other, dates, sharing of personal stories
*Bullet* What happen during church (what was preach on)
*Bullet* Maybe some childhood flashbacks
*Bullet* When they get marry (Last few chapter)
*Bullet* Her experience when she found out she is pregnant up to the end when Craig comes back
*Bullet* Her feels of being betrayed, unloved; and her guilty of having sex outside of marriage or with Craig.
*Bullet* Her personal journal where so learned that she needs to forgive her own self, and trust God (her journal with God)
*Bullet* Final chapter when the baby is born and how their relationship is restore and stronger than ever before

Other things you should know since you mention she was going to Church.

*Bullet* God loves everyone
*Bullet* God has forgiven all your sins (You just need to receive it)
*Bullet* You never need to feel guilty for your sins; just repent, and received your cleansing from all unrighteous.
*Bullet* God says he forgets your sins, so you need to learn not to relive them over and over in your mind. (Stop punishing yourself)

I see that she had feelings of not being worthy. Which is understandable, but God has a plan for everyone.

I say all that to apply it to the main Character. Perhaps she can learned that after months of feeling she did not deserved (or is not worthy) to be in the church or God's love, that the truth is that we do not have to earn God's forgiveness or love, or favor, because he gives it to you freeā€”as a gift.

As a final note. I want you to know I like the story. I just found it was to condense and left open many things that was not explain. Do what you want with my ideas, as they are only my suggestion to help you. Allow them to lead you to other ideas, or choose not to use them. I only mention God because the story mention God. I was not trying to push God on you.

I hope that this was helpful. I can see this turning into a great story. A story of personal grow; a journal where one learns important life lessons. Maybe one that helps bring one back to God (if that what you choose as a writer to do).
